James M Talbott, Chief Executive Officer
James Talbott,MSW, LCSW, MBHA’s Executive and Clinical Director, has been in the social work field since 1984. He received his Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver. Upon arriving in Maine he worked at Shoreline Community Mental Health Services (now Sweetzer) in the community support program for people with mental illnesses and in the adult psychiatric program from 1986 to 1995. After working for another community-based agency and at the Augusta Mental Health Institute, Mr. Talbott founded Merrymeeting Behavioral Health Associates, Inc. in March of 2001.

Hey there- my name is Andrew Nelson, I am the Operations Manager as well as the IT Manager. I am the one they come to when they have issues with their computers. I have been around computers ever since I could reach the 8-track player so that I could re-program it. I love the challenge of making technology work the way that we want it to function. In my spare time I enjoy computers and my cats.

Hi, my name is Alexander Katopis, LCPC-C. I am the Clinical Manager as well as the Program Manager for the Adult Programs. I have been in the social services field for approximately seven years. During my professional career I have held positions as a direct care professional, assistant director, case manager, team leader, and clinical intern. I have been employed at children’s group homes, hospitals, private boarding schools and for profit/not-for profit businesses. I have earned an Associates degree in Business Finance and Management from Endicott College, a Bachelor of Science in Social and Behavioral Science and a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (LCPC) at the University of Southern Maine. I love working for MBHA and it has been the most exciting, educational and informative experience of my career..
 
Kacie Elizabeth Parker
Hi My name is Kacie Parker. I am the Human Resources Manager.   I have worked in the Human Resources field for over ten years and I am passionate about what I do.  Although I was born in North Carolina, I grew up in the Auburn area and recently purchased a new home in Lewiston.  I enjoy a variety of things when I am not working including spending time with friends and family, music, singing, camping, hiking and other summertime activities.  I have learned quickly what a great company MBHA is and what a rewarding experience working here can be.

Hi my name is Denise Deveaux, PPS. I am the Finance Manager here at Merrymeeting.I’ve been in the financial field for fourteen years. I have worked at everything from retail to non-profit with different responsibilities. My family and I have lived in many places through the years such as California, Texas, Colorado, Spain and England but my favorite by far has been Maine. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, hockey, soccer and baseball and my children.
 
Marcia Hard
Hi My name is Marcia Hard~ I am the Quality Assurance Manager as well as Program Manager for Children's Case Management. I came to Maine in 1999 after graduating from college in Oregon with a Bachelors in Health Sciences. I’ve worked with at-risk and children with disabilities since moving here. I love the outdoors and am a huge fan of summer! I’m a Libra and my favorite color is red.

Barbara Moore is the Adult Services Administrator. Barbara keeps track of all the referrals as well as making sure that the APS (Managed Care Authorizations) occur in a timely fashion. She also helps clients with questions they may have. For fun Barbara enjoys kayaking the lakes and rivers of Maine, keeping her garden in top order and spending time with her children and grandchildren, often in Lubec, Maine.
 
Carrie B
Carrie Baker is the Program Manager for the Children's Section 28 Program. Carrie came to Merrymeeting in 2006. She started out as an in home support worker in the children's program. Within about a year she was promoted to Team Leader and most recently has been promoted to Program Manager. Carrie is a strong advocate for the children and families she serves. She has been a steadfast member of the Merrymeeting team. Carrie is the mother of one and she has just purchased her first real home in January 2010.

Mary Mullens is the Adult Team Leader for the AugustaTeam. Mary comes to us with extensive experience working in the mental health field. Mary started her career working with clients in her home with mental illness and then worked at the Augusta Mental Health Institute from 1986 to 1993. After taking some time off she then started working again in the Mental Health field in the In Home Support Program and then went on to become a Team Leader. For fun Mary likes to go hunting and spend time with family and friends. Mary's Assistant Team Leader is Bethany Jewett.

Emily Cobb ~ Team Leader- Brunswick. Greetings, I’m Emily. I’ve traveled to mysterious places and seen wondrous things. I have been a SCUBA diver, secretary, apple & blueberry picker, librarian, teacher, Artist, published writer, wife, mother, chauffeur, hostess, waitress, and consultant. I’ve been the Service-learning & America Reads Coordinator for KVCC, been the assistant to a Homeless Youth Project with VISTA, and volunteered many places and for many causes. I love life and giving my strength and talents to help people, to change things for the better, to make a difference, even a small difference, is all I need or want. And last but certainly not least I love working at Merrymeeting Behavioral Health where I am valued for all of my experiences and always treated with the utmost of respect and dignity. Emily's Assistant Team Leader is Jeannie Tibbets.

Hello, my name is Sam Stancil and I was born and raised here in Maine. I have experimented with living elsewhere (Florida & South Carolina) but have found there truly is no place like home! I am the Adult Team Leader for the Lewiston/Auburn areas and a mother of two. Although I am extremely busy with the everyday rat race of life I find time to spend with my family, shop for bargains, and lay on the beach whenever the sun is shining. I have been in the support services field for six years and couldn’t see myself doing anything else. I start everyday excited to go to work and I am a proud member of the MBHA family. Sam's Assistant Team Leader is Katelyn Stimson.

Hi, my name is Robin Morehouse-Parents. I am the Team Leader for the Waterville Adult team. I actually moved to Maine just prior to the great Ice Storm and stayed anyway. I have been working in the mental health field for twelve years. I have been working at Merrymeeting since September of 2007. I was initially hired as an in-home support staff but have also been an Assistant Team Leader as well as an Interim Team Leader and have most recently been promoted to Team Leader for the Waterville Team. Additionally  I have done work in early childhood education, raising thoroughbred horses and doing overhaul work on submarines’ have three children, ages 20, 17 and  10 and have been married to my courageous husband for twenty-one years. Most recently my family and I have established a Blueberry Farm. For fun I enjoy spending time with my three children creating fabulous products on the farm. Robin's Assistant Team Leader is Laurie Brann.

Sarah Penney- Children's Section 28 Team Leader – Hi, My name is Sarah. I originally began as an In-Home Support worker for Merrymeeting in January 2009, but was recently given the opportunity to continue to serve children and their families in a new and exciting role as a Team Leader. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, and a minor in Psychology, from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. During most of my free time I enjoy playing all kinds of sports, engaging in outdoor activities, and spending lots of time with family and relatives.

Baley Britton- Payroll
Hi, my name is Baley Britton. I work in the finance department as the Billing & Payroll Specialist. I make sure that everyone gets paid the right amount on the right day. Lately I have been getting some additional training on finances and financial management as we streamline these functions at Merrymeeting. It's all really exciting here right now.In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my animals, and my new husband and I just purchased a really nice house in Freeport.

Nancy Drouin ~ Human Resources Assistant. I came to MBHA in January 2010 and quickly learned that working at MBHA is a rewarding experience. With a background in accounting and managing a law firm, I chose to make a career change to work closer to home. I am now assisting fulfilling an integral role in Human Resources. Jonathan and Katelyn – my Grandchildren – are the love of my life !

Hi my name is Linda Middleton. I am a Quality Assurance Specialist at Merrymeeting Behavioral Health Associates. I ensure all paper work is up to licensing standards as well as maintaining all charts. My knowledge in and about the QA world continues to grow. I take great pride in my work. I came to Merrymeeting with a good eye for detail, strong organizational skills and a good work ethic. I really enjoy working at Merrymeeting Behavioral Health Associates and being a part of the Merrymeeting family. I am a mother of two grown children and Meme to one grandson Gage whom I adore! In my spare time I love to cook, sew, scrapbook and spending time with my family except on Sundays when its FOOTBALL time Go Pats!!!! .

I've worked in some offices where people were really rude and cliques were all through the office. It's not that way at Merrymeeting. It's a comfortable environment and pleasant.
